- Galleria Civica Trento
Through the language of contemporary art and the work of some of the greatest artists of our time, the Galleria Civica offers a survey of ecology that is as timely as it is urgent.
On show will be approximately 50 works by international artists like Matthew Barney, Joseph Beuys, Christo, Tony Cragg, Olafur Eliasson, Petrit Halilaj, Ibrahim Mahama, Antoni Tàpies and leading Italian artists such as Giuseppe Penone, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mario Schifano, Willy Verginer and the younger Stefano Cagol, Davide Coltro, Francesco Mattuzzi, Arcangelo Sassolino and Elisa Sighicelli. Confirming the Galleria Civica’s vocation and its ties to its surroundings, the works of David Aaron Angeli, Juri Neil, Marco Nones, Michele Parisi and Federico Seppi will also be on display.
The exhibition delves into the relationship between man and nature, which has always been the object of analysis and inspiration for scholars, researchers and artists. Showcasing works from the collections of the Mart and from private loans which together constitute a free, varied and undogmatic investigation into one of the leitmotifs of the contemporary debate.
