What services does Mart offer?

The Mart offers a free cloakroom service with secure lockers subject to a €1 deposit. You are required to leave luggage, parcels, umbrellas, backpacks and large bags (larger than 25x30 cm).

In the courtyard is the Bistro run by Michelin-starred Chef Alfio Ghezzi, where you can enjoy simple breakfasts and quick lunches during the Museum's opening hours. At dinner you can book four- or seven-course tasting menus.

On the ground floor of the Museum is Mart Shop, a bookshop specialising in art, architecture, photography, dance, theatre and cinema publications, exhibition catalogues, as well as children's books, design objects and gifts.

How long does it take to visit Mart?

The Mart's exhibition spaces cover several floors and host numerous exhibitions. A visit to the permanent exhibition can take about two hours to complete, depending on your habits and interests.

What kind of guides are available to visit the museum independently?

Mart provides audio guides for a fee (€3) in Italian, English and German for the permanent exhibition “The Collections”, with two itineraries: one for adults and one for children from 6 to 12.

An interactive digital guide in Italian and English is available on Telegram and on Messenger (MartMuseumBot).

Can I take photos and videos inside the museum?

Yes, you may take photographs and videos of most of the works on display (except where expressly indicated) for private, non-commercial use only. The use of flashes, professional equipment, tripods, stands, monopods and selfie sticks is not permitted.

We recommend a distance of one metre from the exhibits.

What's the temperature in the museum?

All Mart venues have a centralised temperature and humidity control system, and a 24-hour air filtering system. This guarantees a room temperature of 21-23° C in summer and 20° C in winter.
