Photocopied pages, pasted texts and flawed graphics: this is the language of a generation that rejects glossy magazines so that it can urgently recount its own world. The exhibition Fanzine! presents a selection of Italian counterculture magazines from the 1980s and 1990s, recently acquired by the Archivio del ‘900 [20th Century Archive], the Mart’s research centre.

The Mart presents the most extensive retrospective ever dedicated to the work of Eugene Berman (St. Petersburg 1899 – Rome 1972). Berman was a painter, set designer, illustrator, and travel photographer, and a leading neo-Romantic artist during the last century. His was an artistic language that combined modernity and classicism.
