The Award Building Trentino, organised by the association CITRAC and the Ordine degli Architetti Pianificatori, Paesaggisti e Conservatori della Provincia di Trento, promotes the culture of contemporary architecture in the province. Over the years, the Award has become an important opportunity for professionals, administrators, and citizens to get up to date and discuss the present and future of contemporary architecture in Trentino.

The exhibition brings together all the projects submitted by candidates and presents the projects selected: the winner, two honourable mentions for good practice and commissioning, and the three finalists. The projects on display best interpret the distinctive characteristics of the territory, harmoniously enhancing the existing conditions and improving the context for the community, without compromising its function and public usability.

The jury of the sixth edition of the Award Building Trentino consists of Walter Angonese (Full Professor at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio), Michel Carlana (studio Carlana Mezzalira Pentimalli in Treviso), Maria Claudia Clemente (studio Labics in Rome), Bettina Götz (chosen by common accord by the Dessa of Ljubljana, the Vorarlberger Architektur Institut and Aut. Architektur und Tirol of Innsbruck), and finally Professor Franco La Cecla (professor of anthropology at the NABA in Milan and IULM in Palermo).

A series of images by Paolo Calzà, selected from his photographic territorial survey now under way, accompanies the projects on display, together with a catalogue edited by Simona Galateo and published by Mart, to be issued on 31 May 2024. The catalogue explores the themes of the exhibition and extends the presentation to all the participants of the sixth edition of the Award.
