Library

The books were donated to the city of Trento after the death of Silvio Branzi, an art critic, and then passed on to Museo Provinciale d’Arte at Castello del Buonconsiglio. With the creation of Mart’s contemporary collection at Palazzo delle Albere, the collection formed the first element in the new institution’s library, and the core of its work, with a comprehensive catalogue collection from Venice’s Galleria del Cavallino, Milan’s Galleria del Naviglio, the Venice Biennali - from 1895 to 1972 - and other exhibition catalogues, essays and art magazines. It consists of about 500 books and pamphlets.
