The Karl Plattner collection illustrates the artistic activity and exhibitions of the painter from Alto Adige, and consists of correspondence, professional documents, printed material and a large selection of photographs.

With its 676 books published for the most part in the 1960s and 1970s, the library contains a wide bibliography on plattner’s work: exhibitions and awards catalogues, graphic publications, books illustrated by his works such as the covers of Sellerio editions. There are also texts about him published in art and news magazines. The other half is that of an intellectual midway between the Germany, Italy and France, interested in  literature, philosophy and psychoanalysis.
