Archive

The collection contains the documentation produced and gathered together by the Archivio di Nuova Scrittura in Milan, founded by Paolo Della Grazia in collaboration with Ugo Carrega. Along with the documents concerning the Archive’s activities, the collection also contains over 100 dossiers dedicated to many artists, principally those involved in visual and concrete poetry.

With the Della Grazia long-term loan, Mart acquired over 10,000 books and pamphlets, together with over 500 periodicals related to verbo-visual researches. Because of its range and complexity, it has been divided into several sections: the historical artistic avant-garde movements, Futurism, illustrated books, artists’ books, verbo-visual books and pamphlets, periodicals.
