Gian Leo Salvotti Archive

1960s - 2019

Archive

Donated in 2019 by Trentino architect Gian Leo Salvotti de Bindis, it is made up of professional documentation (mainly graphics work but also photographs and tax documents) dating for the most part to the 1980s and 90s design work (the best documented projects: the Mesiano Engineering Faculty, the Mezzolombardo old people's home, the Castel Ivano and Castel Telvana projects) with documents relating to the role Salvotti played in In/Arch and his technical documents.
The collection also contains a large nucleus of original models: 54 maquettes testifying to the architect’s professional journey, treading a tightrope between utopian creation and building design.
