The archive extensively documents the production of Piermario Ciani (1951-2006) in the fields of experimental photography, xerography, Mail art, Networking, graphic design, alternative publishing, and event production.

The documentation is particularly rich in materials related to alternative cultures of the 1980s and 1990s, ranging from the Great Complotto movement to the multiple name “Luther Blissett”.

The library collection primarily documents the publishing activity of Piermario Ciani, starting from the ‘zines of 1980-1981 ("115/220," "Onda 400," and "50%") to the Trax project (1981-1987), and extending to the AAA editions publishing house (1996-2006, in collaboration with Vittore Baroni).

A significant portion of the collection also includes various editions within the countercultural sphere, especially international music ‘zines, as well as editions graphically curated by Ciani, such as those for Stampa Alternativa editions.
